Monday 27th April, 2009 Redstone Telecom, leading provider of telephony network and communications services to the UK private and public sectors, has announced the launch of its new fully IP-enabled PRS solution.

Following the announcement of Redstone’s move bring its managed services in-house this new “PRS over IP” functionality is one of the first services to be taken to market from the Redstone multiservice platform. Customers will benefit from a more cost effective and high quality solution to handling inbound calls.

The new platform effectively routes all call traffic over Redstone and the customer’s IP network without touching the traditional TDM network. As a result Redstone can offer customers significant business benefits including:

• Greater profitability from reduced infrastructure costs
• Increased capacity over existing ISDN connections
• Greater scalability as bandwidth can be provided dynamically as necessary
• Comprehensive reporting to measure market impact
