Redstone launch new team and offices in Ireland and build on
HP partnership

Friday, 30th June 2006: Mr. Dick Roche TD, Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, welcomed to Co. Wickow, Redstone Technology, one of Ireland’s top specialists in providing leading-edge technology, and congratulated the company’s new management team on becoming one of only two companies in Ireland to be awarded the Data Centre Specialist accreditation by Hewlett Packard (HP). Redstone Technology was also the first HP Authorised Service Delivery Partner in Ireland.

Redstone Technology has established its headquarters and sales offices at Powerscourt Estate, Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow. Its new management team includes Declan Van Esbeck, Managing Director, James Delaney, Director of Engineering, Andrew Balfe, Technical Service Manager, Julie Anne Holmes, Sales Manager, and Ciaran Harrington, Financial Controller and Company Secretary. They manage a staff of over 70 experts, further strengthening Redstone Technology’s vast range of professional, consulting and maintenance services which covers all 32 counties in Ireland. Mr. Declan Van Esbeck said that the company was confident, innovative, people-focused and at the forefront of the telecoms and ICT solutions industry.

“We have designed, delivered and implemented the largest and most complex of solutions for many of Ireland’s leading businesses, as well as universities, semi-state and government bodies. Our reputation in this area is unsurpassed and we act as trusted advisor to many of the leading Irish organisations,” he said.

Commenting on the accreditation, Martin Cullen, Head of PSG and SPO HP Ireland, said that “Redstone Technology are already one of HP Irelands most highly accredited partners and to now be one of only two companies in Ireland to be awarded the Data Specialist Accreditation is a great achievement.”

As well as being HP’s leading partner the company is also the first Red Hat Linux Advanced Partner in Ireland

In addition the Irish team is developing a number of other important accreditations and vendor relationships with Veritas, IBM, Computer Associates and other industry-leading organisations. Mr. Van Esbeck said that, with the headquarters established in Ireland and the continued growth in its client base in the 32 counties, Redstone Technology was looking at developing the UK market for this unique range of services.

Redstone Technology in Ireland is acknowledged as the leader for complex Enterprise Storage Solutions and is a specialist in Business Critical Enterprise-class Servers. “Data is the lifeblood of business and making that data available is often the key to success. Protecting that data is equally important and businesses run most efficiently by basing their IT infrastructure around their business requirements,” Declan explained.

Declan Van Esbeck, Managing Director
Declan joined Redstone Technology (formally Xpert Technology) in 1999 as a Senior Account Manager and following a period as Technical Sales Director took on the role of Sales Director responsible for all sales in the company. Prior to joining the company, Declan held senior roles in Mentec and within the Digital Corporation (now HP).

James Delaney, Director of Engineering
James joined Redstone Technology (formally Xpert Technology) in 1994 when it was purchased from Reflex and is an original founder of the firm. Prior to joining Xpert, James was a manager within the Reflex Group.

Ciaran Harrington, Financial Controller and Company Secretary
Ciaran joined Redstone Technology in 2006 and acts as the company’s Financial Controller and Company Secretary. Ciaran trained with PricewaterhouseCoopers and prior to joining Redstone Technology has worked in various financial control and finance management roles for various US multinationals, most recently with Microsoft Corporation where he spent 5 years.

Andrew Balfe Technical Services Manager
Andrew joins Redstone Technology with over ten years of IT management and consulting experience. A significant amount of Andrew’s experience was gained in the US where he started his career as an IT manager for AT&T and went on to hold IT director positions for Benchmark Hospitality and a start-up technology company, Real Time Data. Andrew also spent three years as a managing consultant with Andersen’s Technology Integrations Service Group. Most recently, Andrew held the position of Senior Project Manager at DSS in Dublin where he was also responsible for their consulting group. Andrew has a BSc in management for Trinity College and an MSc in computer applications from DCU.

Julie-Anne Holmes, Sales Manager
Julie-Anne Holmes joined Redstone in January 2006. With over 13 years experience in the IT Industry working for US Multinational Bowne Inc. where she held various sales management positions which included VP of European Sales. Julie-Anne joined Bowne in 1997 through the acquisition of IDOC. Previous to that she worked for RR Donnelly, a US Multinational. Julie-Anne was educated at the National College of Ireland in Management & Industrial Relations, and the Public Relations Institute of Ireland.
